Options for your prints

You will be presented with many options when you prepare to add to the shopping cart. This page directs you to information to help you decide. Some of the options affect the price, some do not. Any of these options can be changed after you submit your order; please submit changes in writing (send email or a contact message) but feel free to discuss with us first on the phone. Mounting

We have many different glassless mountings to choose from. Or you can also order unmounted giclée prints which will be shipped rolled if they are large.

Print medium

Choose one of our seven giclée print media. Some are less expensive; some will last hundreds of years.

Image

In most cases you will upload your image file to be printed. For some mountings you can mail us your print to be mounted, and the box mount kit we ship to you for you to mount your print.

Size

The maximum size is shown on the prices page. All prints and mountings on our site can be made to any size under the maximum, even to a fraction of an inch. We have lots of advice on how large to print. For some mountings you can choose the depth (distance out from the wall) up to 4 inches.

Quantity

We have discounts if you order several identical prints in the same order or if you later order identical reprints.

Crop image

If you do not want us to crop, then when you choose one dimension of your image, the other will be chosen for you to maintain the aspect ratio (ratio of width to height). If you want us to crop, then we will decide what looks best or you can add special instructions.

Protective coating

Without glass cover your print needs a coating to protect against UV radiation that fades the print and to make it water resistant so you can clean the print. We do not charge extra for this standard option. For some print media you have the choice of gloss or matte. The gloss coating brings out colors and deeper blacks and in most hanging locations does not have too much glare from reflected light.

Image wrap

For our Gallery Wraps and other mountings with wrap, we will prepare your image for the sides. Our recommended and most popular treatment is mirror wrap, but we offer several other options.

Image color

In most cases we will not change the color of your image, but if you want we can enhance color or convert to black and white or sepia. If you are color managed, our print should look the same as the image does on your monitor and the same as test prints from your color-managed printer.

Frame color

For metal frames you have the choice of frame color. We stock only matte black which is most poplular; other colors cost more and require about an extra week for us to acquire the material.

Special image editing

We can add fancy printed borders, add wrapped sides, split your image into several panels, combine several images into a collage, and produce custom painting effects. We can restore your old photo and we can copy and reproduce your artwork.

Proofs

We ask for your approval of image previews or printed proofs before we print, even if we do not edit your image. We do not charge extra for this service unless you want overnight delivery of printed proofs. We normally ship proofs by 1-3 day Priority Mail.

Blind drop shipping

With this free option we will ship directly to your client with no mention of Redipix.com and the return address on the package will be yours.

Certificate of Authenticity

The free CoA (see example) is an information sheet with data on the print and image, warranty, and care information. Future owners can use it to help authenticate the print. This is a good repository of information about the print and some states require one if you sell the print. We provide one copy with all information for you and one for your customer with only the paragraphs you select before adding to cart.
